Here at Sarnia Dental Care, we understand the importance of a healthy smile and realize that every patient has unique oral care needs and concerns. Those looking to improve their smile’s appearance can turn to cosmetic dentistry, and our team can help with your smile-related goals. We provide all of our patients with customized treatment recommendations and offer several cosmetic dentistry options, including the following:

Dental Implants

Patients with one or more missing teeth can choose dental implants, a safe, effective, and affordable treatment option. Dental implants look and feel just like natural teeth and can be used to replace missing roots. Patients with healthy gums, enough natural jawbone to hold an implant, and one or more missing teeth that need to be replaced for functional and/or aesthetic reasons will be considered suitable candidates for this treatment.

A preliminary examination of your teeth, jaw and head will first be conducted to determine whether or not this treatment is suitable for your dental needs. Once this has been confirmed, one or more dental implants will be placed beneath the gum tissue in the jawbone before being stitched into place. As the tissue around your implant heals, the implant will bond to the bone and the gum. Your dentist will then attach an abutment during the second phase of surgery to connect the replacement tooth to the implant.

Veneers

This is another popular cosmetic dentistry option you can consider. Veneers are made from porcelain or resin-composite material and are permanently bonded to teeth to fix cracks, gaps, discoloration and/or teeth that are smaller than average. This option is generally recommended for patients who feel insecure about the aesthetics of their teeth but have an otherwise healthy smile. Your dentist will first evaluate your mouth to confirm this aspect, and your teeth will then be thoroughly cleaned at your following appointment. A texturizer tool will also be used before a dental cement to bind the veneers to the front of each tooth.

Veneers are often described as thin, tooth-coloured shells attached to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance, which may be the best option for you.

Crowns and Bridges

These fixed prosthetic devices cemented to existing teeth provide patients with an efficient, natural-looking, long-term fix for various oral health concerns. Crowns and bridges are treatments for exposed dental implants, weak teeth fracturing, and teeth that have undergone a root canal treatment.

We will gladly answer your questions and address any concerns if you require additional information regarding these cosmetic dentistry options. Our team will provide you with the smile you’ve always wanted and if you’re ready to show off your teeth, contact us today to schedule an appointment!
